Activist Trauma Support (archives)

Until 2014 the Activist Trauma Support Network offered support, workshops and information to activists on prevention and treatment of post-traumatic stress and burnout. Confer is an independent organisation established in 1998 to provide innovative, challenging and inspiring continuing educational events for psychotherapists, psychologists and other mental health workers. Seminar leaders and panels are chosen from the most experienced practitioners and contemporary theorists to present the latest research findings and theoretical developments. Environmental Arts Therapy

Environmental arts therapy is the therapeutic use of natural materials, natural locations, natural themes and natural cycles. Ecopsiche (website in Italian)

The Scuola di Ecopsicologia was born in 2004 in Brianza, Northern Italy, to promote practices for personal growth conducted  “in nature, with nature, for nature”. The aim is to translate Ecopsychology’s principles and vision in instruments and practical activities in various fields through offering educational courses, experiential seminars, counselling and online training. Its founder and current director is Marcella Danon, a psychologist and journalist who has for years been involved on both fronts: personal growth and environmental awareness. More information.

PCSR – Psychotherapists and Counsellors for Social Responsibility

PCSR is an organisation of psychotherapists, counsellors and other professionals who locate psychotherapy and counselling in a social context. Its work includes challenging prejudice and discriminatory practice within the psychotherapy and counselling professions, and campaigning for statutory and low-cost services in all parts of the UK. PCSR recognises the impact of the political dimension on the relationship between practitioner and client and develops ideas about the ways in which social, political, environmental and cultural issues can be integrated into theory and practice.
